WARREN HENRY AUTO WORKS CLOSELY WITH THE MOURNING FAMILY FOUNDATION TO SUPPORT THE OVERTOWN YOUTH (OYC)

North Miami, FL (January 6th, 2021) –Warren Henry Auto Group organized a clothing drive in support of the Overtown Youth Center, an organization of the Mourning Family Foundation. The center is a youth development program that provides comprehensive services to at-risk youth kids, kindergarteners to 25-year-olds – and their families, who live in some of the humblest and most underserved neighborhoods in South Florida.

Warren Henry employees participated in a professional clothing drive where donations were collected for several weeks during the holidays. The donations included professional clothing and shoes for young adults and their parents. Among the items donated were suits for men and women, shoes, and baby clothing. Our hope is that with these donations we are able to make a positive impact on the interview process as they search for employment. Without the generous donations of the Warren Henry team, parents and students may find it difficult to obtain proper professional attire.

The Overtown Youth Center was founded in 2003 by NBA Hall-of-Famer Alonzo Mourning and real estate developer Martin Z. Margulies. Its purpose was to create a safe haven for the children living in Overtown. For 17 years, OYC has been providing holistic programming to the youth it serves to help them rise above the living conditions in which they find themselves.
